We are in the midst of an interstate move and need to store multiple items in the process. So far we've found the service excellent: friendly personnel (Ally, Matthew), good help in choosing the right size unit, excellent orientation to how to use the facilities when the truck arrives, and lots of support for learning the details. The facility is clean, well-lighted, and well-run, as well as conveniently located to where we will live and to roadways.

Jerry and Alli are great. Alli helped us change to a smaller unit after we parted with a lot of un-needed stuff. Her positive and friendly attitude is contagious and very much appreciated. Jerry is always helpful and friendly. They both treat you like family. The location of this storage location is very handy for us. It is clean and well maintained.

Jerry is top notch. Within minutes of inquiring online, Jerry called to confirm, answered all my questions and we arranged for an onsite visit. We secured a unit in preparation for an upcoming move, when the movers arrived the unit I selected was not going to work. Jerry was able to quickly get me into a larger unit and the movers were able to get their job done. Jerry explains everything thoroughly and he’s friendly to boot. After various experiences with different storage facilities, you definitely get what you pay for. I prefer to do set-ups like this in person, and I am so grateful that instead of directing me to the website he suggested that I come in for a same day appointment and get everything taken care of at the same time. This has been an amazing experience, with the feeling of security after having bad experiences at other places in the past, it takes a weight off my mind and makes me feel so much better knowing my belongings are safe. Alli was so accomodating on move in, and the warm welcome meant so much during a stressful time. Jerry and Alli have been so professional and helpful, making access, and the moving process go so much better than we have ever experienced. I want to share with you my journey into moving. I called Jerry at South Waterfront Heated Storage several days ago. My son stored his one bedroom apartment things at Waterfront for 2 years. He lived in Portland and then moved to Alaska for 2 years. He is now home in Iowa. I didn't even know where to start and I called Jerry. He guided me through finding a moving company by the way and saved me thousands of dollars from the ones I had called earlier. He helped me find a company that could move the stuff in storage into the truck. He was so kind, thoughtful and went way above and beyond what he had to do. He was in constant contact me helping to make decisions. I could never had made this move a success without Jerry. Thank you for all your kindness and I hope to pass along what you did for me to others. Marilyn Pendergast

I have been using this facility for the past 7 years. My access has always been 24 hours and I've been in and out of the units at all times of day. Jerry, the manager, has treated me and my colleagues with the utmost respect. He is genuine and truly cares about his customers. The prices at this facility (which are not mandated by Jerry) are a bit high but you're getting (1) security, (2) cleanliness, and (3) EXCELLENT service. With regards to a previous review about people sleeping in front of the store, this IS Portland so one will see vagrants at times walking the streets. However, I've never seen someone living out of a unit here, let alone sleeping in front of the store. I've witnessed Jerry approach those who were "hanging out" in front of the store and even THEN he's still courteous! Will you find a storage unit that is cheaper than this one? More than likely. But the old saying is true: "you get what you pay for." You won't find another unit around that cares about you and your property, accepts your shipments for your business, has 24 hour access and keeps the facility spotless! I've had to use a number of units around Portland, Salem and Eugene for my business and have never been treated as well as I have at Jerry's South Waterfront!

We stored our things here for almost two years while we travelled and worked abroad. Jerry and Sherry are the most friendly, caring, helpful people! The space is incredibly secure and conveniently located off of I-5. Units are climate controlled, clean, well designed and affordable. We would highly recommend utilizing this storage facility.
